As the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we live and interact, we are quickly adapting. We're being proactive in our efforts to keep your family, and our staff, protected as our community handles this crisis. As a result, there will be some temporary changes in place for all three locations.
Our 7:30 AM walk-in clinics at Pooler and Waters Ave have been discontinued until further notice.
We are not seeing walk-in patients at any location. All sick visits are by appointment, so we may screen for potential COVID-19 and direct care in the most appropriate way possible.
Waiting rooms and exam rooms have had books, magazines, and other hard to sanitize touchpoints removed. Expect to see our staff in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) not usually seen in our offices, such as masks, eye protection, and gowns.
To protect the healthy, we will be seeing only wellness visits in the morning, at all 3 locations. These include checkups and other non-contagious issues. Schedules have been reduced to minimize waiting room volumes. If your child has a morning appointment, and either your child OR the caregiver bringing them in is sick with fever or cough within 24 hours, please reschedule, so we can protect our healthy patients just as you would expect for yourself.
We will continue to see sick appointments in the offices, at all three locations, every day. Again, these are by appointment only. These will be scheduled at separate times from any healthy-type appointments.
We now have LIVE TELEMEDICINE VIDEO APPOINTMENTS with all of our providers! These are available any morning or afternoon our office is open. These telemedicine appointments can handle many sick visits, and in most cases, medicine rechecks appointments. Wellness checks/sports physicals will still need to be in-office appointments. Our Waters Avenue location continues to be open Weekends and Holidays, for sick care only, by appointment. In addition, telemedicine is available on Weekends and Holidays.
NEW MAY 1ST We are resuming prenatal consult appointments, by video telemedicine. And we are resuming ear-piercing appointments. Please call to schedule.
If possible, we advise only one parent to accompany your child's appointment unless under 2 months old.
If possible, please do not bring siblings or other children who do not have an appointment.
If possible, please do not send grandparents/caregivers over 60 years old to appointments.
We ask that all persons over age 2 wear a mask while in the building. We will try to provide masks if we have them available. But if you have masks from home we encourage you to wear them, our supply is often limited.
We appreciate your concerns and your trust! Our doctors and staff hope that many of these changes will be temporary. We plan to stay open 365 days a year, as long as we have the ability to do so.
