Elaine has a varied nursing background. As a registered nurse, she worked in the ICU and emergency room and then in her husband’s, David, family practice office. Her husband's office was in their home, which allowed her to work and also be at home with her children. As a Nurse Practitioner, she has worked in pediatric primary care and then spent 5 years in pediatric gastroenterology and 6 years in pediatric endocrinology caring for children with type 1 diabetes. She was a certified diabetes educator.
Elaine moved to Georgia from New Jersey five years ago, and to Savannah two years ago. She has been doing pediatric primary care since moving to Georgia.
Elaine enjoys traveling with her husband and children. She loves to cook and has taken several cooking classes. She stays fit with exercise and running. She has ran several half marathons and completed the New York marathon in 2013.
